Balochistan Chief Secretary Matahar Niaz Rana on Monday paid a detailed visit to the Pak-Iran border town of Taftan, where he inspected various places on the border. The Chief Secretary said that in line with the vision of the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the Chief Minister of Balochistan, steps are being taken on priority basis to further develop the Pak-Iran border town of Taftan Border and to remove the problems and difficulties faced by the traders.
He said that the purpose of visiting Taftan was to get acquainted with the local people and trade related issues so that they could be resolved immediately. He said that customs terminals were being set up in Taftan to provide business facilities to the people. At the same time, land has been allotted for Bazaar Chah to provide trade facilities to the locals and work on it is in full swing, he said, adding that more facilities would be provided to visitors and locals at the Pak-Iran immigration gate. Therefore, the Commissioner of Rukshan Division has been urged to look into all the issues and resolve them within two days
The Chief Secretary said that the Government of Balochistan was playing its role in providing better employment to the people of all the border areas and God willing the people living on the border would benefit from these trade activities.
